Management-Team

No business can exist without the men and women who work for it. O&O is especially beholden to the members of our staff, because they represent over ten years of international success in software development. The following portraits will show just a few of the people who have made their mark on O&O.

Olaf Kehrer

Olaf Kehrer
Olaf Kehrer is Managing Director of O&O Software GmbH and is responsible for Product Development. His main focus lies in developing new concepts in the area of system tools as well as in supervising the expansion and continuation of the existing product line. In 1997, he was one of the co-founders of O&O Software GmbH and was himself directly involved with the developing of O&O products. Today he is still very close to the pulse of what is being developed and continues to pursue his goal of producing only the very best products for the consumer. In addition to that, he also wrote the series of Studies “Data Data Everywhere”, in which he analyzed the way used hard drives were being handled and what occurs with non-deleted data. Olaf Kehrer studied at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated with a degree in Computer Science.

Carsten Fischer

Carsten Fischer
He got his first computer at the age of 15, and after making it through the difficult years that all would-be Developers experience ("Real men only program at night!"), Carsten Fischer began working at O&O Software GmbH in 1997, at the same time as he began studying Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin. In 2002 he was entrusted with the supervision of software development, and since then has watched over many new products and their successive versions from the very beginning of their life cycles. Over the years he’s also managed to cut down on drinks containing high dosages of caffeine, while his active contribution to the source code has also been sharply reduced. His current primary responsibilities include getting soft ideas to fit into hard products, finding ways to improve the workflow with a constantly growing workforce, and of course taking good care of those developers - many of whom are still eager to work at night!

Torsten Grimm

Torsten Grimm
Torsten Grimm was employed in various capacities in the Sales Department of a Microsoft Large Account Reseller, before coming to work as Key Account Manager for O&O Software GmbH in 2003. As a result of his experience in retail and distribution, he was transferred a year later into Retail Service at O&O. A restructuring of the workload was made necessary because of the need for O&O to focus on its indirect distribution and the strengthening of its retail presence and distribution in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. There was also an ever-growing number of employees who needed to be successfully integrated into the company's structure. For that reason he was appointed Sales Manager for the entire German-speaking region in 2007. His main focus is on providing service and support for the Authorized O&O Distributors and Authorized Resellers.
